PERRY, Fla. (WCTV) -- A Perry man experiencing heat exhaustion lost control of his vehicle and drove into a pond Wednesday.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the crash happened around 1:00 p.m. at Rocky's Campground on US-98 in Taylor County.
The crash report states that Randy Cruz, 61, was traveling north on a private road at the campground when he was overcome with heat exhaustion and failed to negotiate a curve. The truck drove off of the roadway and into a pond.
FHP says the truck was underwater with its trailer resting on the pond's bank. Cruz suffered minor injuries.
