LEON CO., Fla. (WCTV) -- A Tallahassee man has been arrested for leaving the scene of a crash with serious injuries Monday morning.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the crash happened around 6:27 a.m. on Interstate 10 near mile marker 209 in Leon County.

The crash report states that 27-year-old Bruce James II was traveling west on I-10 when he rear ended a motorcycle. The motorcycle, driven by 42-year-old Stephen Nagy of Monticello, slid for about 400 feet before coming to rest in the middle of the road.

FHP says James continued driving for about a mile before his car broke down and he was arrested by an officer with the Tallahassee Police Department. He was charged with following too closely and leaving the scene of an accident with injuries.

Nagy was taken to Tallahassee Memorial Hospital with serious injuries.
