Marianna Police looking for suspects in armed robbery

JACKSON COUNTY, Fla. (WCTV) -- The Marianna Police Department is looking for two suspects wanted in connection to an armed robbery on Thursday night.

At approximately 10:45 p.m., MPD officers responded to a reported armed robbery at the Big Star Liquor Store at 2992 Penn Avenue.

Surveillance video taken from the scene shows two black males entering the store, one holding a white plastic bag and the other pointing a pump-style shotgun at the store clerk. One of the suspects demands money while the other holds the store clerk at gunpoint. The suspects then fled the store, running southbound behind the business.

The Appalchee Correctional Institution and Jackson Correctional Institution K-9 tracking teams were called to the scene, but police K-9s were unable to locate a track on the suspects.

The black male suspect seen holding the plastic bag is described as approximately 5’9" tall, weighing 160-170 pounds. He was wearing grey basketball shoes, light colored (possibly denim) shorts, a black long sleeve shirt, and a white shirt or rag wrapped around his head and neck, covering his face.

The black male suspect seen holding the shotgun is described as approximately 5’6"-5’8" tall, weighing 140-150 pounds. He was wearing black shoes, black pants with a white dot pattern, a black long sleeve shirt with one missing sleeve, and a black shirt or rag wrapped around his head, covering his face.
