QUINCY, Fla. (WCTV) -- The local mother
has been transferred from the Leon County Detention Facility and booked into the Gadsden County Jail.
Carolyn Brown, 33, has been formally charged with two counts of attempted murder for the incident on April 24.
Deputies say, that afternoon, Brown walked into town in Quincy, asked a passerby where the jail was, and stated, "I just killed my babies."
Brown was apprehended under the Baker Act by Quincy Police and taken to the Apalachee Mental Heath Center.
Authorities then responded to Brown's residence on Havana Highway and found her two infant sons, 8-months-old and 20-months-old, suffering from stab wounds.
The infants were rushed to the hospital in critical condition and Brown was arrested.
Brown had initially been booked into the Leon County Detention Facility on a battery charge stemming from an attack on a nurse at the Apalachee Mental Heath Center.
Brown is currently being held without bond in the Gadsden County Jail.
