LOWNDES COUNTY, Ga. (WCTV) -- A Georgia-based steel manufacturing company will soon bring dozens of jobs to Lowndes County.

On Thursday, the Valdosta-Lowndes County Development Authority announced Metal Benderz will be moving to Hahira Business Park.

The company is based in the Atlanta metro area and designs, engineers, manufactures and fabricates steel framing systems.

VLCDA said the new location will bring 50 jobs to Lowndes County, ranging from welding and drafting to information technology and administrative support.

Metal Benderz will take over the former Wireco building in Hahira. The company expects to be fully operational next month.
