TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) -- We're learning more about the fate of nine dogs that were found in the back of a moving truck in Tallahassee last week.

33-year-old Duane Glenn was arrested on a warrant Thursday after authorities responded to a report of an abandoned U-Haul truck with animals inside of it near the Dollar Tree off of Mahan Drive.

Following Glenn's arrest, the nine dogs were taken to the Tallahassee Animal Shelter for evaluation.

Animal control officials say the dogs were treated for internal parasites, including hookworms and roundworms, and many of the dogs had diarrhea.

Under local ordinance, the owner of the dogs now has six days to reclaim them, animal control officials say.

Officials tell WCTV that a man reclaimed three of the dogs on Sunday and indicated that he plans to return before the deadline to reclaim the other six dogs.
