TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) -- Students from Wittenberg University in Ohio are spending their time off at Maryland Oaks, a low income housing community under nonprofit Good News Outreach.

They're helping the non- profit Fuller Center replace lattice fencing around the base of the homes to keep termites out.

"I really do feel better about spending spring break with my friends, doing something positive and adding value to people's lives,” said student volunteer Ayush Jaiswal,

This week they were able to fix up seven homes.

The staff at Good News Outreach tell us they can’t thank the Fuller Center and student volunteers enough for their efforts.

They also tell us they’re appreciative of Good Sheppard Church for providing meals to all of the volunteers this week.
