Authorities identify victim in deadly Chattahoochee house fire

CHATTAHOOCHEE, Fla. (WCTV) -- Authorities have now identified the victim in a Chattahoochee house fire last week.

Firefighters responded to the call in the 1200 block of South Main Street at 9:10 a.m. on Friday, January 11.

Fire crews from the Chattahoochee Fire Department, the Florida State Hospital Fire Department and the Sycamore Fire Department responded to the scene.

Crews worked to extinguish the blaze and located one person dead inside the home.

Thursday, the Chattahoochee Police Department identified the victim as 67-year-old Tyrone Mingo.

Authorities say the house was a total loss, with damage estimated at $75,000.

The State Fire Marshal's Office said Monday that the cause of the fire remains under investigation, but added that investigators have not uncovered any indications of suspicious activity.
