Police identify pedestrian killed in weekend crash

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) -- The Tallahassee Police Department has identified the pedestrian killed in a weekend accident at the intersection of Thomasville Road and Bradford Road.

James Gaff, 57, was hit by a vehicle and taken to a local hospital where he later died from his injuries.

The driver of the 2001 Ford Focus involved in the accident has been identified as 23-year-old Ricardo Pena.

No word if charges are pending at this time.

Tallahassee Police Traffic Homicide Investigators are asking anyone who may have witnessed the crash but did not speak with an officer on scene, or anyone with information about the accident, to please call (850) 891-4200 and ask to speak with the Traffic Homicide Unit. They may also remain anonymous by calling Crime Stoppers at (850) 574-TIPS.

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) -- One person is dead after being hit by a vehicle at the intersection of Thomasville Road and Bradford Road.

The crash happened just after 8:40 Saturday morning. TPD and Emergency responders were called to the scene and immediately provided medical attention to the victim.

The pedestrian was taken to a local hospital where he later died from his injuries.

TPD is are asking anyone with any information on the crash to call (850) 891-4200 and ask to speak with the Traffic Homicide Unit. They may also remain anonymous by calling Crime Stoppers at (850) 574-TIPS.
