QUINCY, Fla. (WCTV) -- The Gadsden County Sheriff's Office has confirmed one person is dead and one person is in critical condition following a crash involving a motorcycle in Quincy.
The crash happened at 6:35 p.m. Sunday.
Troopers say a Toyota Corolla was turning onto CR-274 from Union Chapel Road and traveled into the path of an oncoming Suzuki TL1000 motorcycle.
The motorcyclist, 32-year-old David Glenn Underwood, of Quincy, was unable to slow down, troopers said. Underwood reportedly hit the passenger side of the car, which threw him from the bike and sent the car flipping.
Underwood was pronounced dead on the scene. Troopers say he was wearing his helmet.
The driver of the car, 65-year-old Alice Akery, of Quincy, was taken to the hospital in critical condition. It is not clear if she was wearing a seat belt.
Troopers say charges are pending.
