ST. PETERSBERG, Fla. (WCTV) -- A plane carrying Governor Ron DeSantis, Attorney General Ashley Moody and four other staff members was forced to make an emergency landing in St. Peteresburg on Friday afternoon.
Everyone on board is fine.
The governor and his staff were on their way to Broward County, where they were expected to announce the suspension and replacement of Broward Sheriff Scott Israel.
They're now expected to arrive around 4:30 p.m.
The plane made it's stop due to a mechanical issue.
DeSantis is using a King Air plane that belongs to the Department of Law Enforcement, which was previously seized from drug dealers.
This is a developing story.
