Police: Suspect stole batteries out of unlocked cars

BAINBRIDGE, Ga. (WCTV) -- Authorities in Bainbridge are looking for a suspect accused of stealing car batteries out of three vehicles that were left unlocked.

According to Bainbridge Public Safety, the three thefts occurred late Wednesday night into early Thursday morning in the the area of East Evans and Academy Streets.

Officers are asking anyone who sees something suspicious to call 911. Homeowners in the area who have video surveillance cameras installed on their property are asked to check them to see if there is any suspicious activity taking place around vehicles parked in driveways.

Anyone with information on who may be stealing the vehicle batteries is asked to please call BPS at 229-248-2038 and ask for Sgt. Tim McCain or Officer Leroy Akins. Callers may remain anonymous.
