March 11, 2019
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (ANJ) -- Quarterback Nick Foles is signing with the Jacksonville Jaguars, NFL Insider Ian Rapoport is reporting.
The NFL also reported that Foles is coming to Jacksonville, citing Rapoport.
Foles started five games for Philadelphia in 2018, throwing for 1,413 yards, seven touchdowns and four interceptions while completing 72.3 percent of his passes.
The former Arizona Wildcat led the Eagles to a Super Bowl title in relief in 2017, replacing the injured Carson Wentz down the stretch. In his three playoff games in 2017, Foles completed 72.6 percent of his attempts with six total touchdowns and an interception. He also caught the now-infamous Philly Special touchdown play in Super Bowl LII against the New England Patriots.
Jaguars' quarterback Blake Bortles was benched as part of the Jags' Week 7 loss to the Houston Texans and put together his worse statistical season of his career, throwing for a career-worst 2,718 yards with a 60.3 completion rate for 13 touchdowns and 11 interceptions.
