TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) -- Florida State offensive lineman Josh Ball has been suspended from the university following a ruling by a university judicial panel, Warchant has reported.

Ball, who started nine games last year for FSU at left tackle, was accused of committing acts of dating violence by an ex-girlfriend in November.

A settlement was reached between Ball and his ex-girlfriend days later. Ball did not miss any playing time last year due to the incident.

In a statement to WCTV, Dennis Schnittker from the FSU office of communication said:

"Joshua Ball is currently enrolled at Florida State University.

Due to student privacy laws, I can’t provide any information confirming or denying a (possible) student conduct case.

However, you can learn more about the student conduct process (including appeals) here.

Every student at FSU is afforded due process.
