April 29, 2018
LOWNDES COUNTY, Ga. (WCTV) -- South Georgia drivers can expect a slow down on I-75 starting Monday.
The Georgia Department of Transportation is scheduled to start resurfacing 14 miles of I-75 on Monday. The project will start south of Cook County and run through exit 18 in Lowndes County.
One lane will be closed starting at 7:00 p.m. Monday. Two lanes are expected to be closed overnight from 10:00 p.m. until 6:00 a.m.
Drivers are asked to take it slow and be careful going through the construction zone, being mindful of equipment and workers.
The $10 million project is expected to take about four months. The DOT said it has been 10 years since this portion of the interstate has been resurfaced.
