THOMASVILLE, Ga. (WCTV) -- Friday, students at Scott Elementary School were taught robotics by IBM employees from Tallahassee.
Students rotated through three stations, each with different robots and tasks.
Each robot had a different name, like Herbie and Pupper, and could draw or pick up items.
"The teacher's were really nice. We did a bunch of fun things, like code," said Gabrielle Jones, a third grader.
"My favorite is when we had to pick up the tire with the hand and put it in the box," said Jayden Jones, another third grader.
The eight members of IBM said they had just as much fun teaching the kids.
The activity helps problem solving and perseverance, and opens kids' minds to a career in engineering.
