TAYLOR COUNTY, Fla. (WCTV) -- Authorities have confirmed that a man who was injured in an explosion at a Taylor County manufacturing plant earlier this month has died from his injuries.

The accident happened on September 14 at AMTEC Less-Lethal Systems, Inc., located at 4700 Providence Road.

The Taylor County Sheriff's Office says Christina L. Patterson, 42, of Perry, was fatally injured in the incident.

A second victim, Thomas Fowler, Jr., 56, was flown from the scene in critical condition. The sheriff's office says Fowler passed away from his injuries at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital on Friday.

Investigators from the State Fire Marshal's Office and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives are continuing to investigate what caused the explosion.
