Seminoles take on Razorbacks in Omaha

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (247Sports) - Florida State now knows when they will take the field at the College World Series from TD Ameritrade Ballpark in Omaha, Neb.

On Monday evening, the pairings and game times for the first two days of the 2019 College World Series were announced. The 73rd College World Series begins on Saturday, June 15th and will conclude on either June 25th or June 26th, depending on if the best-of-three championship series goes two or three games.

The first two days of action will have all eight teams in action.

The Seminoles (41-21), who knocked off No. 4 national seed Georgia and No. 13 national seed LSU to advance to the CWS, will face Arkansas on Saturday, June 15th at 7 p.m. ET. The Razorbacks (46-18) are the No. 5 national seed. The game will be shown on ESPN.

Michigan faces Texas Tech in the College World Series opener earlier on Saturday at 2 p.m. ET. The Wolverines (46-20) advanced by knocking off No. 16 national seed Oregon State and No. 1 national seed UCLA. The Red Raiders (44-18) are the No. 8 national seed. That game will also be shown on ESPN.

The second day of action at the College World Series on Sunday, June 16th will see Louisville versus Vanderbilt at 2 p.m. ET on ESPN and Auburn versus Mississippi State at 7:30 p.m. on ESPN2. The Cardinals (49-16), are the No. 7 national seed, while the Commodores (54-11), the No. 2 national seed, are the highest national seed in the field. The Tigers (38-26) knocked off No. 3 national seed Georgia Tech and No. 14 national seed North Carolina to advance to face the Bulldogs (51-13), who are the No. 6 national seed.

The losers of Saturday’s two games will play at 2 p.m. ET on Monday, June 17 on ESPN, while Saturday’s winners face off at 7 p.m. ET on Monday, June 17 on ESPN.

The losers of Sunday’s games will play each other at 2 p.m. ET on Tuesday, June 18 on ESPN. Sunday’s winners will meet on Tuesday, June 18 at 7 p.m. ET on ESPN.

The winners of the two brackets will play a best-of-three College World Series Finals, with the first game set for 7 p.m. ET on Monday, June 24. The second game is scheduled for 7 p.m. ET on Tuesday, June 25 with game three (if necessary) scheduled for 7 p.m. ET on Wednesday, June 26. All three of the finals games will air on ESPN.
