TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) -- As of Wednesday, Florida State's official website lists 84 players on the football roster. While many of them don't get to see much of the field during the actual season, this weekend's spring game is a different story.
Most, if not all of FSU's players will have the opportunity to shine in the annual Garnet and Gold game. The event is not only an opportunity for players to prove themselves on the field, but to get more familiar with their teammates.
It's easy to forget that with a team like FSU, with over 80 guys who are broken up into different position groups during practice, there can be some unfamiliarity.
As junior defensive tackle Marvin Wilson puts it, Saturday is a chance to play along side some fresh faces and continue to build team camaraderie.
"You really get to see the side of everybody," Wilson said. "Just to be around, especially going into this game, it's going to be real fun just being out there with different people you're normally not on the field with."
FSU's spring game starts this Saturday at 4 p.m.
