Two suspects arrested in Dollar General armed robbery

GRETNA, Fla. (WCTV) – We’re learning new details about an armed robbery at a Dollar General store in Gretna on Wednesday.

The Gadsden County Sheriff’s Office has identified the suspect arrested for armed robbery as Daniel Williams.

GCSO also says that Williams’ girlfriend, 24-year-old Bridgette Robinson, has been arrested and charged in connection with the robbery. Robinson is a former correctional officer at the Gadsden County Jail.

GCSO confirms that Williams was booked into the Gadsden County Jail and Robinson was booked into the Liberty County Jail.

The Gretna Police Department is handling the investigation.

GRETNA, Fla. (WCTV) -- A suspect has been arrested following an armed robbery at a Dollar General Store.

The Gretna Police Department says the call came in around 4:30 p.m. Wednesday. GCSO says a man in a hoodie entered the Dollar General in Gretna, robbed the store at gunpoint and then fled the scene.

Authorities tracked him in a nearby wooded area where he was captured and arrested.

GCSO says the suspect is being held at the Gadsden County Jail.

Gretna PD says that this was an isolated incident but the investigation is ongoing.
