TPD, LCSO arrest three on drug charges in joint operation

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) -- The Tallahassee Police Department and Leon County Sheriff's Office have announced the arrest of three people on drug charges.

Officials say the TPD Special Investigations Section and LCSO's Vice Unit worked together after receiving numerous complaints of narcotic sales in the area of Alabama Street and Cactus Street.

Authorities say on Wednesday, officials arrested 20-year-old Santray Davis, 57-year-old Wardell Brown and 29-year-old Travis Winbush.

Officials say Davis was arrested in the area of Alabama Street and Harlem Street and is facing charges of selling marijuana within 1,000 feet of a place of worship or business.

According to the two departments, Brown and Winbush were both arrested in the area of Cactus Street and West Pensacola Street.

Brown is facing charges of selling cocaine and marijuana within 1,000 feet of a place of worship or businesses, possession of synthetic cannabinoid and possession of narcotics equipment.

Winbush is facing charges of selling and distributing cocaine within 1,000 feet of a place of worship or business, selling marijuana within 1,000 feet of a place of worship or business, possession of marijuana with intent to sell and resisting arrest without violence. Winbush was also wanted for robbery charges.

Officials say all three were booked into the Leon County Detention Facility.
