Tallahassee police identify motorcyclist killed in crash

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) -- The Tallahassee Police Department has identified the victim in a deadly crash involving a motorcycle and a vehicle on Wednesday night.

TPD says officers and emergency responders were called to the scene at Lake Bradford Road and McCaskill Avenue at 9:40 p.m. and immediately provided medical attention to the victim.

Officers say the motorcyclist, 28-year-old Joseph Kindall Johnson III, was taken to a local hospital where he later died from his injuries.

Police have also identified the driver of the vehicle involved, a silver 2016 Nissan. At this time, the driver has not been charged.

TPD investigators are continuing to interview known witnesses and process evidence collected from the crash scene. They are urging anyone who may have information about the crash to please contact them at (850) 891-4200 or via Crime Stoppers at (850) 574-TIPS.
