One killed in crash on Capital Circle NE

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) -- The Tallahassee Police Department is investigating a fatal crash in the 3300 block of Capital Circle NE involving two vehicles.

Emergency responders were called to the scene just before 10:30 p.m. Sunday and provided medical attention to the victims.

TPD confirms one of the drivers involved in the crash was taken to the hospital and later succumbed to their injuries. There is no word on the other driver's condition.

The victims' identities have not been released at this time.

The northbound lanes of Capital Circle NE between Hermitage Boulevard and Raymond Diehl Road were closed for several hours as crews worked to clear the scene of the accident.

Traffic Homicide Investigators are asking anyone who may have witnessed the crash, but did not speak with an officer on scene, or anyone with information about the accident, to please call (850) 891-4200 and ask to speak with the Traffic Homicide Unit. They may also remain anonymous by calling Crime Stoppers at (850) 574-TIPS.
