TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) -- A suspect accused in a deadly shooting in Tallahassee last month has been transferred to Leon County. A probable cause affidavit reveals what led up to the crime.

19-year-old Tyriq Hill was arrested in connection to the murder of 21-year-old Sharod Bryant on September 11 at The Commons apartments.

Witness interviews reveal that the shooting happened when the suspect met up with a group of men to purchase marijuana. One of the victims claimed that Hill suddenly opened fire as they asked him to pay for the drugs.

Bryant was shot and killed and a second man was taken to the hospital.

A few days after the shooting, Hill was located and taken into custody in Gadsden County. On Wednesday, he was booked into the Leon County Detention Facility.

Hill is charged with second degree murder, four counts of attempted first degree murder and armed robbery.

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) -- The Tallahassee Police Department has confirmed a person was killed in Tuesday night's shooting at The Commons apartment complex.

Police say the person who died is 21-year-old Sharod Bryant. A second person was also shot and is in stable condition.

TPD has not released any information regarding the circumstances surrounding the shooting.

Ronnie Bryant was at his apartment when he heard the gunshots. "I was thinking, 'Oh, God, not again,'" he said.

Bryant says he knew it was serious this time when he looked on the other side of his complex and saw all of the police lights.

Bryant said, "It's like it's hitting close to home. That's the part that's like, 'Oh wow.' This is two minutes away, one minute away. That's the part that's maybe really a little weird that it's hitting close to home now."

Marctavious Johnson has a cousin and friend who lives in the complex.

"As soon as that popped up, I texted them instantly," he said.

"I think it's childish, really. I think it's childish, gun violence, I think all that's childish, really. I don't see a point in shooting. I don't see a point in all of that, really," Johnson said.

"The gun violence...I feel probably just as safe as somebody in a third world country, because that's kind of where we're going," Bryant said.

"I hope things get better. I hope things get better from here on out," said Johnson.

Management at the complex said, "No comment" when asked about the incident.

There have not been any arrests at this time. TPD says it's still investigating.

Investigators are asking anyone with information about this case to please call them at (850) 891-4200 or Crime Stoppers at (850) 574-TIPS.
