TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) -- A man has died following an early morning shooting on West Tennessee Street.

The Tallahassee Police Department confirms that the incident happened around 2:40 a.m. Wednesday at 1935 West Tennessee Street. A Pita Pit restaurant is listed at the address.

At the scene, officers and emergency personnel provided medical attention to 21-year-old Andrew Glover III. He was taken to a local hospital where he later died from his injuries.

Police are ruling Glover's death a homicide.

We spoke with the manager of the Pita Pit, who says the employees had locked up the store before the shooting happened. He added that all of the employees are always safe and well taken care of.

We also reached out to management at the nearby Waffle House restaurant, but they did not wish to comment.
