TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) -- A Tallahassee woman is behind bars, accused of physically abusing her son.
Police say 32-year-old Delainie Freeman hit her 14-year-old son in the face with a cellphone charger.
The boy told investigators that his mother attacked him after he accidentally cracked the windshield of their car as they were driving down the road. The incident reportedly occurred around Thanksgiving.
Investigators say the physical abuse left two large marks on the side of the child's face that were still visible a month later.
Freeman denied physically disciplining her son, claiming the child's injuries were the result of a fight with some other children over winter break. She was arrested following an investigation.
Police say Freeman is already on probation for previous child abuse.
Freeman is being held in the Leon County Detention Facility on $25,000 bond.
