Tanker crash causes road closure near Florida-Georgia line

DECATUR COUNTY, Ga. (WCTV) -- Troopers say the roadway has been cleared of debris following a tanker crash Friday morning, and is now open to traffic.

DECATUR COUNTY, Ga. (WCTV) – An overturned tanker is blocking a major highway near the Florida-Georgia line.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the crash happened around 6 a.m. Friday on Quincy Highway just north of the state line in Decatur County, Georgia.

FHP has closed Attapulgus Highway northbound at Dodger Ball Park Road in Quincy as the Decatur County Sheriff's Office works to clear the scene of the crash.

Authorities say the roadway will be closed for several hours. A detour is set up around the scene.

Law enforcement has not confirmed whether any other vehicles were involved in the crash or if there are any injuries.
