TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) -- The Pyramid Players are taking the stage this Friday and Saturday night for a very special performance.
'Abracadabra!' is a musical drama written and performed by disabled adults.
The annual show is growing to be so popular that it now runs two nights. The first show, for family and friends, will be held this evening. The second show will take the stage tomorrow night, Saturday, August 11, and is open to the public.
The chance to perform is boosting creativity and confidence for all those on stage.
"I like being a professional star. That I get to make a DVD," said Pyramid Player, James Ueberhost.
"It's getting into character, it's being excited about something," Rick Carton added.
"It feels great. Because there will be lots of people and they will be having a spectacular night," Derrick Grimsley explains..
Abracadabra is set in the roaring 20's. The plot swirls around thieving magicians whose tricks may save a struggling community theater.
Our Julie Montanaro is honored to emcee Saturday's big show, which kicks off at 7 p.m. at The Moon, located at 1105 E. Lafayette Street in Tallahassee. Tickets for the event are $10.
