THOMAS CO., Ga. (WCTV) -- A Thomas County jailer has been arrested on two counts of child molestation.
The Georgia Bureau of Investigation announced the arrest of William Cason, 51, on Thursday.
The Thomas County Sheriff's Office says he's been a jailer for the last 17 years.
As of January 10, he was suspended without pay.
Cason is also facing charges of cruelty to children in the first degree and two counts of sexual battery.
Arrest warrants say Cason's immoral and indecent acts took place between the years of 2010 and 2016, involving two children under the ages of 16.
Cason was arrested and booked into the Thomas County Jail.
The GBI says the case is active and ongoing and will be turned over to the District Attorney’s Office when completed.
