Thomasville man sentenced in infant daughter's death

THOMASVILLE, Ga. (WCTV) -- A Thomasville man has been sentenced in the death of his infant daughter.
Damien Allan Holloway was sentenced to 17 years in prison on Monday.
Holloway pleaded guilty in September to voluntary manslaughter and cruelty to children.
Authorities say in February 2014, Holloway killed his infant daughter by shaking her violently.
The 9-month-old died from a traumatic head injury.

Damien Holloway pleaded guilty on Tuesday to voluntary manslaughter and cruelty to children.
Authorities say in February 2014, Holloway killed his infant daughter by shaking her violently.
The 9-month-old suffered a traumatic head injury and did not survive.
Holloway could face up to 20 years in prison on each charge.
