GADSDEN CO., Fla. (WCTV) -- Traffic was rerouted off of Interstate 10 in Gadsden County for several hours after a semi-truck overturned and blocked both eastbound lanes.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the accident happened around 3:00 a.m. Tuesday on I-10 eastbound near mile marker 176.

The crash report states that 23-year-old Sandeep Singh drove the semi-truck into the center grass median and then steered right to reenter the roadway. FHP says the back of the trailer slid farther into the median, causing the truck to overturn onto its side.

Troopers rerouted traffic onto State Road 12 at exit 174 as crews worked to clear the accident scene. FHP says the roadway has since been reopened.

Singh suffered minor injuries and was taken to Tallahassee Memorial Hospital for treatment. He has been cited for careless driving.
