TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) -- A Tallahassee woman accused of allowing various drug dealers to sexually abuse a child in exchange for drugs has been found guilty.
Thursday night, Celeste Chambers, 37, was convicted on all seven counts, including four counts of lewd and lascivious conduct, child abuse, sexual battery on a child under the age of 12, and human trafficking.
The trial lasted two days and included testimony from Chambers and the victim, who is now 18.
Prosecutor Anna Norris said, "I am glad this child was finally vindicated… what [Chambers] did to her was wrong… and she was finally strong enough to come forward. It’s a difficult accusation to make, but she did it. Now [Chambers] can’t hurt anyone anymore."
Chambers will face a mandatory life sentence for the charge of sexual battery on a child.
Sentencing is scheduled to take place on January 14 at 2:30 p.m.
