TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) -- A pickup truck crashed into a building in Tallahassee Tuesday morning.

It happened at Fuel Fitness Bootcamp on North Monroe Street in the Lake Jackson plaza. It was before 9 a.m.

The gray pickup truck went all the way inside of the building. The glass windows and doors were completely shattered.

The truck was parked directly in front of the business.

Witnesses say an elderly woman had just finished eating breakfast at the restaurant next door and had gotten in the truck to leave.

"And mistakenly put it in drive and hit the gas. When it come over the curb, it probably startled her, which throwing her forward onto the throttle, which powered her on and through the building." Said, Alan Tucker.

Tucker is an associate with Paul Davis Restoration. Members from the company were on site clearing the scene and boarding up the building.

The Tallahassee Police Department says no injuries were reported, and the woman was taken to the hospital as a precaution.

TPD says she has been found at fault, but no criminal charges have been filed.

No information has been released as to if there was a specific reason she got mixed up when putting the pickup into gear.

Paul Davis Restoration was there boarding up the broken glass.

The building will still be accessible, and one man even says he expects cleanup to be finished around 1 p.m.

The Tallahassee Police Department says no one was hurt at the scene. The driver of the car was taken to the hospital as a precaution, the department says.
