TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) -- Vice President Joe Biden is planning a trip to Tallahassee in the coming weeks.
Biden plans to be in town to campaign with Patrick Murphy in early August, according to a press release sent by Murphy's campaign.
Murphy is running for U.S. Senate.
It's Biden's first trip to Florida's capital city since 2012, when he spoke at Florida State University and attended fundraising events.
Biden's visit will be just one of several high profile campaign trips made to the region so far this year, following two visits by former President Bill Clinton in March and April.
Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump visited Valdosta to speak at VSU in February ahead of the Georgia presidential primary.
Former First Daughter Chelsea Clinton also stopped by Tallahassee in support of her mother ahead of Florida's March primary, speaking at the Woman's Club of Tallahassee and stopping by Earley's Kitchen on the city's Southside.
No further details surrounding the Vice President's visit are available at this time.
