Valdosta man arrested after making threats against police officers

VALDOSTA, Ga. (WCTV) -- A Valdosta man has been arrested after threatening to kill police officers on a 911 call.
Valdosta police say that Eddie Duncan, 61, was arrested Saturday for making terroristic threats.
VPD says that Duncan was intoxicated when he made the threats. As officers spoke with him via loud speaker, a woman came out of their condo begging officers not to shoot him.
No one was hurt incident, and Duncan eventually surrendered before being arrested by police.

On Saturday around 7 p.m. at Perimeter Crossing Condos at 3412 N. Forrest St. A Valdosta man made a call to 911, making threats to kill police officers.
VPD officers surrounded the area and evacuated places nearby.
Chief Brian Childress says the African American male who made the threats was intoxicated.
Officers communicated with him at his upstairs condo by loud speaker.
A female came out of the condo begging officers not to shoot the man and apologized.
Childress says no one was hurt, and the man eventually surrendered. He was arrested, and is being charged with Terroristic Threats.
Charges are still pending, and more information will become available Monday.
