TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) -- A victim was chased, beaten, and abducted.
Three other people are on the run.
The kidnapping happened Thursday around 5 p.m. at the Hardee's on North Monroe Street near Lake Jackson.
Witnesses say it started at the nearby Publix in the Oak Valley Plaza.
Leon County deputies say by the time witnesses called them to the scene, the suspects and the victim were gone.
A witness says she was in Publix when some guys were running so fast after another guy, they were knocking people over.
Deputies say that chase went out of the store, across the parking lot to Hardee's.
That's where deputies say three guys beat the man they were chasing and forced him into a vehicle and drove off with him.
Fontavis Perkins, a Havana resident, said, "It's crazy. You got to be safe. Make sure of where you're going and lock your doors and stuff and don't walk out at night time by yourself. We just got to be safe because stuff is crazy these days."
Deputies say the incident stems from a previous encounter.
While investigators say all of the men involved know each other, Tallahassee resident Loius Burney says you still can't be too careful these days.
"It makes you want to stay home and not go in crowded places, and we do that. We don't get out like we used to because it's too many of these incidents," Burney said.
Investigators say after they found they victim, he was taken to the hospital for minor injuries and was released.
LCSO has not released the details as to how the victim was able to get away from the suspects and where he was found.
They're still looking for the three suspects.
