HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. (WCTV) -- A Wakulla County commissioner has been elected to the executive committee of the Florida Association of Counties.
Commissioner Ralph Thomas was elected to the office of 2nd Vice President during the FAC's legislative conference in Hillsborough County on Friday.
Commissioner Thomas said, “FAC equips County Commissioners with the tools needed to better serve our Counties while protecting local decision making. From new Commissioner Orientation to Legislative advocacy, it has been an honor to be on the FAC team. I look forward to taking this next step.”
Thomas joins FAC President, Hendry County Commissioner Karson Turner; President-Elect, Leon County Commissioner Nick Maddox; 1st Vice President, Palm Beach County Commissioner, Melissa McKinlay; and Immediate Past President, Charlotte County Commissioner, Christopher Constance. The offices of President-Elect, 1st Vice President and 2nd Vice President are elected annually.
