LOS ANGELES, Calif. (WCTV) -- Former Florida State third baseman Jessie Warren lost out to Notre Dame's Arike Ogunbowale for the Best Play at the 2018 ESPY's on Wednesday night.
Ogunbowale hit a buzzer-beater for Notre Dame to seal a 61-58 win for the Irish over Mississippi State in the Women's Final Four title game.
Warren made an arguably game-saving catch in the first game of a best-of-three series against the Washington Huskies in the Women's College World Series in the bottom of the seventh inning with the Noles clinging to a 1-0 lead.
Warren's play was tweeted or retweeted by thousands of people, including former Los Angeles Lakers great Kobe Bryant.

Other plays nominated were; Stefon Diggs' last-second touchdown catch for the Minnesota Vikings against the New Orleans Saints in the NFC playoffs, the Eagles' fourth-down touchdown pass to quarterback Nick Foles, Alabama's game-winning overtime touchdown pass to defeat Georgia in the national title game and Jocelyne Lamoureaux-Davidson's shootout game-winner for Team USA in the Gold Medal game against Canada at the 2018 Olympics.
