MARIANNA, Fla. (WCTV) – A woman is facing several charges after she reportedly crashed into a road sign in Jackson County.
Officers with the Marianna Police Department responded around 6:15 p.m. Friday to a single-vehicle crash in the area of Jefferson Street near the Jackson County Courthouse.
Officers located a gray Nissan on the shoulder of the roadway. According to MPD, the vehicle appeared to have exited the southbound lane of Jefferson Street, run over the curb and collided with a road sign.
Officers made contact with the driver, 23-year-old Brooke Logan Bradley, who allegedly showed signs of impairment. Officers were able to determine that Bradley was impaired at the time of the crash after putting her through several field sobriety tests.
Law enforcement uncovered several different controlled substances, including methamphetamine and prescription medications, while searching Bradley. She also informed officers that she did not have a valid driver’s license.
Bradley was transported to the Jackson County Correctional Facility to await first appearance for charges of DUI, driving while license suspended and six counts of possession of a controlled substance.
