MARIANN, Fla. (WCTV) -- The Jackson County Sheriff's Office has arrested a woman on drug charges following a traffic stop.
JCSO says early Thursday morning, a deputy observed a vehicle traveling west on Lafayette Street in Marianna that did not have a license plate displayed.
The deputy conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle and searched it after making contact with the driver. Deputies say during the search, a small container was located on one of the passengers in the vehicle that contained a "small amount" of methamphetamine.
The passenger, identified as 35-year-old Katie Armstrong, was arrested for possession of meth and possession of drug paraphernalia. She was taken to the Jackson County Correctional Facility to await first appearance.
