Woman seriously injured in golf cart accident

SUWANNEE COUNTY, Fla. (WCTV) -- An 89-year-old woman was critically injured after she was struck by a pickup truck and thrown from her golf cart Monday.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the crash happened around 3:38 p.m. at the intersection of US-129 and 232nd Street.

The crash report states that Dorothy London was crossing US-129 in a golf cart when she was hit by a Chevrolet pickup truck. London was ejected from the golf cart and suffered serious injuries.

She was transported to UF Health Jacksonville and is listed in critical, but stable condition. Charges are pending an investigation.
