TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) -- The Tallahassee Fire Department received a call Thursday morning about a worker trapped up in the air in the bucket of a boom truck that was on fire.

At 10:43 a.m., firefighters responded to the scene at 715 W. Gaines Street and found the person trapped approximately 40 feet in the air and the vehicle fully involved with fire.

Crews made an attack on the fire while taking caution due to several nearby power lines. A ladder truck was deployed to help rescue the worker.

The fire was brought under control and the worker was rescued from the bucket and brought down to safety. TFD did not report any injuries.
