Ms. Classie’s Seafood Gumbo


8 – cups water
2 – tablespoon of flour
1 – teaspoon of salt
½ teaspoon of thyme
½ teaspoon of parsley
1 - garlic glove
1 - stick celery
1 – large green bell pepper
1 – large Vidalia onions
2 – bay leaves
2 – medium cans crushed tomatoes
½ cup vegetable oil
1 – medium can tomato sauce
Dash of cayenne popper
Dash of Tony’s chachere’s Creole seasoning
Dash of Badia complete seasoning

1-Lb medium shrimp
1-lb of small scallops
1-lb mussels
1 Lobster tail
1 pack of Hillshire Farm smoked sausage


Sauté onions, bell pepper, and garlic with oil. Add remaining ingredients and cook for 15 minutes

Cut sausages into bite size

Add seafood and sausages to liquid sauce

Stir in flour

While Gumbo is cooking, sprinkle Pure ground Gumbo file on top, stir

Cook for 1 hour and 45 minutes

Serve with rice
