Thanksgiving Day Panini


Leftover Turkey, mix of dark and light meat
Swiss Cheese, sliced or grated
Arnold’s Potato Bread
Olive Oil, for brushing

Sweet Potato Casserole:
2 lbs Sweet Potato
2 Tbsp. Cinnamon
1/2 C. Sugar
2 Eggs
4 Tbsp. Butter

Cranberry Sauce
12 oz. Cranberries
1 C. Cranberry Juice
1 C. Maple Syrup
3 Tbsp. Juice

Danielle’s Dressing
1 Loaf Bread
1 Box Buttermilk Cornbread
1 Stick Butter
1 Onion, medium dice
4 Celery Sticks, medium dice
2 Eggs
1 C. Chicken Broth
Salt and Pepper, To Taste

Uncle Ben’s Gravy
2 C. Chicken Broth
4 Tbsp. Butter
4 Tbsp. Flour
2 Tbsp. Dried Thyme
Salt and White Pepper, to taste


1. Preheat a panini press or place a pan over medium heat.
2. Assemble the sandwich with bread down, followed by smearing sweet potato, then dressing, followed by gravy, then turkey, then cranberry, and finally topping with cheese.
3. Brush bread with olive oil and season with salt and pepper. Place onto panini press and bring top down. Do not apply pressure. Panini press will do that for you.
4. Let grill for 5-7 minutes, until bread is golden brown with grill marks and cheese is melted through.
5. Slice into wedges and serve warm!

Note: This can be made with any Thanksgiving leftovers, the recipes given are just the ones my family loves, and I wanted to share them with you!
