CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WCTV) -- 2012. It’s the last, and only time, FSU basketball took home a coveted ACC Championship. That can all change Saturday in Charlotte.

Saturday in the Queen City, the Noles will look for a king’s performance as they take on Duke for the conference crown.

The Noles enter Saturday night on the heels of a smothering defensive performance against one-seed Virginia. FSU’s “Junkyard Dog D” held the typically hot-shooting Hoos to just 20% behind the arc.

They’ll need that type of performance, and then some, as they try and tame a Duke team led by the nation’s top player in Zion Williamson.

On Friday, the Blue Devils edged out a 74-73 win in the ACC semis against rival UNC, thanks to a late put-back by Williamson.

Now, the Noles get a chance for payback. In the regular season, Duke edged out a late win over FSU in the Tucker Center. The teams tip-off for all the ACC marbles tonight at 8:30 PM.

A win for Florida State not only means conference supremacy, but could also be the key to a two-seed in next week’s NCAA Tournament.
