Baseball America: FSU has third-best recruiting class

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) -- Florida State boasts the third-best recruiting class in the nation, according to the Top 25 rankings for 2018 released by Baseball America.

The Noles have registered their fifth-straight Top 10 class according to the publication and are bringing in 15 freshmen and five junior college transfers.

Along with their Top 5 ranking, six incoming Seminoles are ranked in BA's Top 500 prospects; shortstop Nander de Sedas (#28), outfielder Elijah Cabell (#70), catcher Matheu Nelson (#259), infielder Alec Sanchez (#379), outfielder Robby Martin (#390) and infielder Cade Hungate (#395).

FSU trails only LSU and Vanderbilt in the rankings and are joined by five other ACC teams; Louisville (#4), Clemson (#9), Miami (#10), Virginia (#11) and UNC (#22).

Florida (#5) and Florida International (#19) also represented the Sunshine State.
