TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) -- Star Florida State defensive end Brian Burns has announced he is leaving the university to declare for the 2019 NFL Draft.
Thank you Florida State University for some of the BEST years of my life. Through prayer and the help of my family and coaches, I believe I made the right decision for me. I will forever LOVE my team and my school! #NoleBlooded #ForeverANole— Brian Burns (@Fire_Burns99) December 3, 2018
Burns recorded 52 total tackles (31 of which were solo) and logged 10 sacks this season for FSU, while adding three forced fumbles and a fumble recovery. His 10 sacks ranked him ninth nationally.
The Fort Lauderdale native was the lone Seminole to be named First Team All-ACC this year.
Burns is the first member of this year's team to declare for the NFL Draft.
