TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) -- Florida State outfielder Zoe Casas has been named the ACC Player of the Week and the USA Softball Collegiate Player of the Week after helping lead the Seminoles to a perfect weekend in the St. Pete/Clearwater Invitational.
Casas led the tournament with a .556 batting average, compiling a slash line of .556/.619/.944, while logging 10 total hits with six RBI, seven runs scored, a double and two home runs.
The California native has reached base safely in each of FSU's first 11 games of the season and leads the team with a .516 batting average.
It is the first career ACC Player of the Week Honor for Casas and she is the third Seminole in the last two seasons to garner USA Softball Collegiate Player of the Week honors, joining Kylee Hanson and Sydney Sherrill, who each were recognized last year.
