TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) -- One thing Florida State basketball fans have been wondering since the season started is when Phil Cofer will be healthy enough to play.
After sustaining a foot injury late in the off season, the redshirt senior started the year in a walking boot but, about a month ago, he had it removed.
Now, it seems, head coach Leonard Hamilton is ready to ease one of his most valuable players into game action. The only question is "when?"
From Hamilton on Friday, the answer could be as soon as Monday.
"We'll try to work him in on Monday but what that means is it'll be a result of what happens in practice and w'ere not going to over do that in practice," Hamilton said. "If he tells me he's 100 percent, then he might play ten minutes. If he tells me he's really really good, he might play 12 (minutes). I'm not going to force feed this. Right now, we're going to take our time."
The Noles return to the Tucker Center on Monday against Southeast Missouri.
