TAMPA, Fla. (WCTV) -- For the third time this season, a mid-week Florida State baseball game won't be played due to weather.

The University of South Florida announced Tuesday's game between the Seminoles and Bulls was cancelled.

Florida State had their mid-week affair with Jacksonville University postponed twice last week.

There are no plans to make up the Noles' matchup with the Bulls in Tampa.

FSU returns to the diamond this weekend for a three-game series against Mercer University. Friday's first pitch is set for 6 p.m., while Saturday and Sunday are both slated for 1 p.m. starts.

FSU is 7-0 to start their season, with a four-game sweep against Maine to open the year and a sweep this past weekend against Youngstown State.
